The red Deathworm is a 4-foot long, worm-like creature somewhat resembling a bloody intestine with a toothy, sphincter-like mouth on one end. It spends most of its time burrowing beneath the surface of the desert, but will suddenly emerge to kill its prey.

Combat: Deathworms are simple predators, and will attack anything that seems edible. They will often initiate an encounter with an Electrical Discharge, thereafter spitting their venom, and resorting to biting when in close quarters. Deathworms are attracted by the color yellow, and will always attack characters wearing that color first.

Electrical Discharge: 6 times a day the Deathworm can generate an electrical discharge equal to a 6 die Lighting Bolt, with a range of 40 ft.

Electrified Body: Anybody striking a Deathworm with a metal weapon will be automatically subject to an electrical discharge for 6d6 damage.

Poisonous Bite: The teeth of the Deathworm drip with a yellowish venom. A bite forces the victim to save versus Constitution or take an additional 4-32 points of damage.

Spit Venom: The Deathworm can also spit its venom as an attack, with a range of 30 ft.
